Invoicing in Verbrio
Create, preview, and send structured e-invoices from the same place you manage your Refurbed and Back Market orders.
Starting in 2028, the EU's ViDA regulation will require structured electronic invoices for cross-border B2B transactions. Many member states are rolling out domestic mandates even sooner. Verbrio's invoicing is built on the EN 16931 data model and generates Peppol BIS 3.0 XML, so you are not scrambling to become compliant when the deadlines arrive.
What's New?
Draft and generate invoices inside Verbrio. Add line items, set a tax rate, and enter or paste a recipient. Verbrio generates a PDF preview you can review before finalising. Invoices include embedded ZUGFeRD data and Peppol BIS XML out of the box.
VAT handling that does the thinking for you. Verbrio classifies your invoice against common EU VAT scenarios: domestic sale, intra-EU goods or services, reverse charge, and export. It warns you when a VAT ID is missing and suggests the right tax treatment based on what it knows about the buyer. You can always override.
Tied into your marketplace integrations. Invoices from your Refurbed and Back Market orders appear in the same unified list as the invoices you create yourself. Source badges make it clear where each one originated, so your finance team has a single view across all channels.
Structured from the start. Every invoice is stored with EN 16931-aligned fields: Peppol tax categories, proper invoice and credit note type codes, and full VAT breakdown structures. This is not a retrofit. The data model was designed for e-invoicing from day one.
Create invoices from chat. The Verbrio assistant can draft and edit invoices for you. Ask it to create one, review the result, and finalise from the draft page.
The EU e-invoicing timeline
The EU's VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) regulation introduces mandatory e-invoicing for B2B cross-border transactions from 2028. Several countries already have domestic mandates in effect or scheduled:
Germany is requiring structured e-invoicing for domestic B2B from January 2025 (reception) and January 2027 (transmission).
France is phasing in mandatory e-invoicing from September 2026.
Belgium, Poland, Romania, and Spain all have active or upcoming mandates.
Verbrio generates Peppol BIS 3.0 XML and ZUGFeRD-embedded PDFs. As national requirements evolve, the output formats are ready to adapt without changes to how you create or store invoices - and when there are updates, Verbrio will automatically convert all previous invoices to be compliant!
